Neutral beam driven ion cyclotron instability of lower hybrid wave in a tokamak plasma

The effect of dust grains on the parametric coupling neutral beam driven ion–cyclotron wave instability with a lower hybrid pump is studied. A high amplitude pump, which launched into tokamak for heating purposes in presence ion-cyclotron waves, can excite involving two sidebands. In tokamak, waves result excitation mode and quasi-modes near edge when electron oscillatory velocity greater than sound velocity. This increases growth rate sideband resonant. Moreover, plasma, their radius, number density significantly affect instability, turn advanced stage operations tokamak. scales wave. found to be linearly increased grain density, but it decreased increasing size grains, means large sized stabilize instability. theoretical results explained present paper are very helpful explaining complexity plasma properties due dust–plasma interactions, diminish performance International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor potential safety issues.
